The Hapihap Spa aims to provide a tranquil space of peace and relaxation, not just for the body but also for the mind. By providing nurturing and holistic massage services in a natural environment that makes them feel at home, one can forget the problems brought about by the hustle and bustle of city life and get comfortably rejuvenated in just an hour or two.
We use various essential oils as part of our aromatic therapy so that the customer will feel like they are in their own little world when they enter our space. Along with this sense of feeling at home, we also have soothing music playing in the background so that one can drift off into.
With the help of a native Bicol interior, we can make you feel like you are in your own home while we massage your body. The interior design and the use of natural materials contributes to achieving a feeling of peace and comfort. The room is also designed to have an open layout that gives you a sense of space and tranquility. The furniture is made up mostly from indigenous materials. We use locally sourced materials for our massage spa to support and promote local suppliers. Hapihap has tremendous support for its local workforce that’s why we only have local therapists and masseuses.
Massage is about relaxation after all, and the best place to do this is in the comfort of a place that feels like home.
The Husband and Wife Team Behind Hapihap
Hapihap was founded by husband and wife team, Malou and Paul Mirabel, who had their fair share of struggles and stress from working as OFWs for over 8 years before returning to the Philippines in 2012.
In the middle east, wellness was a luxury. Whenever they went home to their hometowns in Bicol for their yearly vacation from work, this was what they yearned for. They saw the need for a place which provided total relaxation and healed tired bodies such as theirs.
When Malou decided to come home for good, they built Hapihap from humble beginnings. They started without a physical space, just handing out flyers and going to the customers’ place to do the massage services. Iriga City had a positive response to their offerings and they were getting booked out every day. Since then, Hapihap has gone a long way. They now have 4 branches and are planning to build one in each municipality to heal more Bicolanos.
Our Mission and Vision
We want to provide healing, relaxation and easy access to self-care to Bicolanos one municipality at a time.
Hapihap is moving towards growing into Bicol region’s go-to wellness spa that caters to one’s overall self-care needs. We are planning to put up jacuzzi, steam room, body scrub room, and eventually meals and be the one-stop destination for recovery and healing. We want to make it the number one destination for people looking for relaxation and rejuvenation and eventually slide in to be a part of Bicol’s tourism.
We believe that self-care and wellness is a lifestyle and should be accessible to everyone who needs it.
Hapihap wants Bicolanos to feel better by lifting the heavy weight of stress off their minds and bodies so they can work and live better. We also want to help the local workforce and give livelihood to more Bicolanos and support local suppliers.
